Unfiltered: The Family Experience.

Have you ever had a moment you wished could be documented with your kids but you weren’t able to capture it? 

I’ve had many instances like this where I hoped my memory would power through over the beautiful chaos of everyday and the routinely hectic mornings.  The times where my youngest laid his head on my shoulder while I read to him and my oldest sat on the floor looking up at us. My hair disheveled and old pajama pants on.  

These moments are what make up the true time spent as mamas raising little humans - not the perfect hair, matching outfits, posed photographs we often see as family portraits.  

Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with those portraits but I craved something deeper and that told a story that was true and honest.

Because your every day is enough. Your casual self is enough.  You are enough.

There is so much value in those little details and without documenting them, they get lost in the sea of bigger moments.

When you look back at 70, kids grown and with kids of their own, what memories do you want to remember?

I know I’d want the small moments, the true moments, the genuine moments.
